Drive In Food Drive and Brown Bag (with music) – July 12

After we “Zoom” together for church on Sunday, July 12, 2020, we invite you to zoom over (in your car) to the First Baptist Church of Rochester.  Starting at 11:30 a.m., we will begin collecting donations of non-perishable food items.  These food donations will be given to the Brighton Food Depot which is serving those in need in the Beechwood area through St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal and to the Center for Youth. During the food drop-off, there will be hymns and other music played on our chimes.  Around noon, we will have a tailgate lunch in the FBC parking lot (bring your own food, drink, table setting, etc. and eat in your car or in the parking lot).

Throughout the event we will practice social distancing and leave an appropriate distance between parked cars.  Food donations can be made by driving your car to the appointed place and they will be taken directly from your vehicle.  If you are unable or do not feel comfortable staying for lunch, we understand.  Although we have not been able to meet together for over three and one-half months physically at the church, this will provide an opportunity for our church family to share a meal, share some conversation, enjoy music and serve others.

PLEASE NOTE: Restroom Facilities will not be available for this event. For more details [READ]
