Call to Worship
One: John’s gospel has on the lips of Jesus that a grain of wheat that has fallen into the earth and died can bear much fruit.
Many: The earth itself proclaims resurrection.
One: From the soil of fear, grief, and despair rises new life.
Many: From the soil of isolation, worry, loss; From the soil of pandemic rises new life.
One: Resurrection is not a thing that happened long ago in a far away place, but a reality taking shape in all times and all places. Our confession is not that Jesus rose, but that Christ is risen.
Many: He is risen indeed.
One: Christ is risen!
Many: He is risen indeed.
One: Christ is risen!!!
Many: He is risen indeed! Alleluia!!

*Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
