Call to Worship

One:                Redeeming God, we have come here today crouched on hands and knees

Many:             searching for what has been lost.

One:                We’ve looked in the dark corners of our lives

Many:             and we’ve come up empty handed.

One:                We’ve searched the wilderness around us

Many:             and we’ve found nothing.

One:                We’ve come to this place hoping to find a clue where to look,

Many:             the inspiration to keep searching.

One:                In our gathering though, you have stood us up from the floor and reminded us:

Many:             We have been found.

One:                May this hour be an expression of our gratitude, a confession of your magnitude, and a reminder of the mission we’re on.

Many:             Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
