Gathering
One of the richest experiences of being physically together in a space of worship is to hear the richness, depth, and complexity of beautiful music becoming sacred by its performance among the faithful. Online platforms have not allowed such richness in music to be shared live, but during our time of worshiping from home some of that shared beauty was regained in our ability to converse all together in one digitally sacred space. In these pre-service moments we celebrate both experiences of worship. Worshipers gathering from home are invited to greet one another via Zoom and share a few moments of conversation. Worshipers on the FBCR campus are invited to hear the pre-service music. Our varied experiences and expressions of worship will be joined at the chiming of the hour.

Call to Worship
One: We don’t live in the wilderness, God.
Many: Even in a pandemic we have comforts unknown to others.
One: We find one another in the same place each week,
Many: We have the technology to be together even when we can’t be together.
One: We don’t wander together from place to place.
Many: Even so, we are thirsty and our world seems so dry.
One: Strike open the earth and let life giving water flow among us this day.

*Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
