Call To Worship

Marcia McCarthy

One: Threads of a tapestry vary in shade and color, all woven into a pattern.

Many: Each of us unique in the Creator’s eye, but gathered with one heart.

One: God has bound us together with ties stronger than cord or family.

Many: The body of Christ is one faith, one baptism, one hope.

One: We are the people of God, diverse bodies forming one.

Many: The spirit of God’s grace weaves through our lives.

All: Holy Spirit, teach us to love, as you bind us together today!

*Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
