The church year has commenced with a flurry of events…our Jubilee service, Section Leader Sunday, bed building project, and talent show to name a few. October looks to be equally action packed. We will formally install Pastor Joanne during our service on Sunday, October 15th. This will be followed by a musical celebration on Friday, October 20th at 7:00pm. The program, An Installation in a New Key: A Musical Welcome, will be our unique way of celebrating the installation of our Senior Pastor and welcoming our new Director of Music. We hope to see you there.
You may have seen that the church website has undergone a major overhaul. If you have not already, please take a moment to check it out (www.rochesterfbc.org). The new site was designed with two important objectives in mind. First, to provide members with easy access to church news and information. Secondly, to welcome new site visitors, pique their interest, and encourage them to join us for worship. Your feedback on the website is always welcome and appreciated.
The website project also included a social media component. With the help of our project partners at Grim Digital Media, we have updated our Facebook and Instagram accounts. We have commenced sharing the exciting happenings at FBCR through frequent posts. You can follow the church on Facebook at First Rochester and on Instagram at rochesterfirstbaptist. Don’t worry, we have not changed our name. However, the abbreviations make it easier to find us on both social media platforms. If you use social media, please “follow” us, “like” our posts, and feel free to “share” them.
The current energy and enthusiasm at FBCR is exciting and contagious. Many thanks to the volunteers and staff who plan our events, lead our programs and support our operations. These folks are second to none.
