Immediate Opening for a Children’s Ministry Coordinator |
The First Baptist Church of Rochester, NY is seeking an energetic and creative individual to serve as our next Children’s Ministry Coordinator. This position oversees the church’s Sunday School and youth programs and supports the Pastors for a cohesive, wholistic and inclusive worship experience. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, have a faith-filled vision for children and youth along with a foundational willingness to work as part of team. This position will include: Scheduling and supporting the teachers with ideas, planning and administrative tasks; supporting the curriculum; overseeing the nursery program; working with parents, the Music Director and the Sunday School Teachers to plan and execute the Children’s Christmas, and Easter program and other special events; seeking out and arranging service projects for youth and children; supporting youth leaders; interfacing with the larger community.
This part-time (12-15 hours per week) position is a wonderful opportunity for a retired teacher or a stay-at-home mom who loves children and education. It offers flexibility in schedule except for Sundays and salary is commensurate with experience and education.
