Food Drive To Benefit Pittsford Food Cupboard Clients |
At First Rochester, we will collect your food items on Sunday, November 13 through Sunday, November 17 for the Clients of the Pittsford Food Cupboard. PFC serves over 300 families all around us including a portion of Rochester, Brighton, East Rochester, Mendon, Honeoye Falls and Pittsford, and those in the Penfield Central School District residing in Penfield (Zip Codes: 14445, 14472, 14523, 14607, 14610 14611, 14618, 14620, and 14625.)
To help with their food drive, please bring your donation to church during our open hours (includes worship hours of Sunday morning and Wednesday evening, office hours, or by appointment. Please note: we will be closed on Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans’ Day. The food will be delivered to PFC for clients to shop for their Holiday Meals.
The Pittsford Food Cupboard seeks the following non-perishable items:
- Any meat-based canned item, with at least 6 grams of protein, such as Vienna Sausage, Corned Beef Hash, Sardines, canned Ham, Spam, and Hearty Soups or Canned Pasta meals.
- Turkey Gravy, Stuffing Mix, Boxed Potatoes, Canned Yams, and French Fried Onions
(NO CORN AT THIS TIME AS THAT CUPBOARD IS FULL). - Baking items of Sugar, Vanilla, Flour, Salt.
- They also will accept $15, $20, or $25 gift cards to purchase Turkeys.
Please consider helping those in need have items for a filling and enjoyable holiday meal.
